143a. I can do it mentality

We often assume that what is necessary for recovery is “I can do it” mentality.

But having a mindset “I will beat Parkinson’s” is not necessary and could even be decrementing for recovery itself.

Because it is part of PD mentality wanting to be in control of every outcome of our lives. It’s our brain’s bad habit which sustains sense that we are separated from the rest of the world.

Instead we should be living a surrendered life and deal with whatever happens when it happens.

Having a desire to change circumstances for the better is OK as long as it doesn’t block you from accepting life as it is. Even accepting having PD.

God bless!
